Series 2: Mounted Photographs

Series Note: This series comprises mostly photographs, but often just proof sheets, mounted on 9 1/4" x 11" pre-printed mount boards that include the negative number and identifying information. The UNC Photography Lab created broad categories, most of which are listed below, with more refined subject headings, which are not shown except for posed group and individual portraits. Staff then filed the mounted photographs within those subheadings. Consult "Alphabetical List of Subject Headings" compiled by the Photographic Archives staff from most of the subheadings repesented under the broad topical categories listed below.

Photographic Archives staff created four subseries to help differentiate three subsets within the broad categories, namely group portraits, portraits of faculty and saff, and individuals who were neither faculty nor staff. The fourth subseries contains the remainder of the photographs in this series.
