Perquimans County
Stockton, built about 1848 near Hertford, is an example of the Greek Revival style of architecture that developed among planter classes in eastern North Carolina beginning in the 1830s. This photograph was made in the 1930s by North Carolina woman photographer Bayard Wootten.
